Epilepsy affects as many as 2% of Qeenslanders. There are more people with epilepsy than with muscular muscular dystophy, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease and several others combined. Epilepsy is recognised as the world's most common serious brain disorder (WHO 1997). While in most cases it is diagnosed during the school years, epilepsy may affect anyone at anytime.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) which includes Austism and Asperger syndrome, is a neuro-biological disorder that affects the way a person communicates, socialises, processes information and adapts to the environment.
